Corey Blackburn is a professional photographer from New Zealand.
After travelling to Egypt, to photograph and document the effects of September 11th, 2001 on the Egyptian people, Corey gained her first feature story with Investigate Magazine.
Corey recalls; “My love of telling a story through imagery started here.”
Over the last 15 years, she has worked as a wedding, portrait and fashion photographer, and as a Photojournalist for both INL and Investigate Magazine. Corey was also a CANON sponsored Photographer, capturing New Zealand’s dance scene and club culture. She is at present working on a coffee table book that celebrates this time, covering a generation of dance.
Her images are currently published via a number of networks, for a variety of commercial and editorial uses, such as print media, magazines and online media.
These days, Corey’s commercial focus is on New Zealand and destination weddings, portraiture, fashion and photojournalism. When she is not on location with her clients, she enjoys creating personal work, such as fine art portraits and landscapes, and is still heavily involved in the New Zealand DJ and club culture.
